With both my kids I got the Fisher Price Lights and Sounds monitor. I wanted to have 2 in case I needed them both. They have worked just fine for a few years and have never given us trouble. I tried a more expensive one once that had an intercom button and it interferred with the house alarm and stopped working. Returned it for the FP one which is not that expensive.
i bought a $20 Safety 1st monitor it does the job.
Any brand that let’s you here what’s going on on the other in is good. Find a recall list for baby monitors.
Most Fisher Price are very good and present the best value. Sony is the top of the line and you won’t be disappointed.
Personally I bought a Fisher Price for $30 and I’m very happy with it.
You need to add some information. Where do you want to use the baby monitor? Do you have a split level, one story, multilevel home (how many levels?). Do you want to be able to garden while baby is napping (and how many feet away?). Please add this detail so that others can help!
My cousin is in a split level and uses a Fisher Price. Works great for him (daughter is now 2). Cost is roughly $30. My friend has a 4 level home and it just wouldn’t work for her so hubby had to get a different brand with a longer reach (baby on top floor napping, Mom in basement doing laundry).
